MORNING

Art from the Caribbean – By drawing upon the beautiful Caribbean landscape and ancestral traditions, the art from the Caribbean is a style unto its own.This class will explore the incredible artwork produced in this area of the world. Campers will get to explore various art styles through hands-on art projects.

(Academics) Fractured Fairy Tales Theater Join us as we learn about storytelling while playing pretend! Students will learn the fundamentals of acting for the stage as they portray various fairy tale characters. As students master character portrayal through using their voice, body language and creativity, they will collaborate to create their own version of a fractured fairy tale production. The final fractured fairy tale play will be performed on the last day of camp.

Gymnastics - Learn the basics of gymnastics skills, such as: forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and bridges, as well as coordination, agility, strength and flexibility. Instruction is provided by Panhandle Perfection instructors.

BLACK ROCKET: Code Breakers-Calling all future coders, programmers, & designers! Learn the basics of coding languages like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS through a series of web projects and design challenges each day and be on your way to becoming the next tech star! Whether you want to be a Silicon Valley CEO or the high school student who just made $1 million dollars for programming in her bedroom, this course has the essentials you need to begin your journey. Projects will be available on a Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.

AFTERNOON

STEM- Sculpture Building - Imaginations run wild as art materials build up, out and all-around in this creative hands-on art class.

Swim/Sports Fun- Classroom and water instructions. Learn the basic water safety along with proper swim strokes and a variety of sporting activities. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and play clothes for each day

BLACK ROCKET: YouTube® Content Creators

Find your voice and leave your mark on the world! Whether you are six or sixteen, it’s time to start a career as the next YouTube star. Explore the variety of content and personalities that exist on YouTube and how to find your own niche. Learn the Dos and Don’ts of the platform and how to practice good digital citizenship. Develop your on-camera presence, your own channel branding, and professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own channel with the content created in class! Student projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
