Dr. Patrice Williams-Shuford, Director of Instructional Quality, Northwest Florida State College
Dr. Williams-Shuford has been an educator for more than 30 years. She is skilled in teaching, college planning/advising, faculty development, and building educational support systems. The speaker earned her Bachelor of Science in English and Psychology from the University of South Alabama, her Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Mobile, her Specialist in Education in English Education from Florida State University, and her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Currently, Dr. Williams-Shuford serves as the Director of Instructional Quality at Northwest Florida State College and teaches Composition I and II.
The speaker has spent her career in education as a high school English teacher, a college English professor, a college advisor, a higher education administrator, and a workshop presenter and facilitator – focusing primarily on the topics of fostering leadership and initiating change.
Additionally, she owns a college planning franchise, Class 101 Blackwater; serves as the Executive Director for the Brandon Maye Legacy Foundation; and serves on the Board of Directors for Crestview Creations Unlimited Inc. Dr. Williams-Shuford enjoys being involved with the community and working with youth.
