About:
Pensacola State College serves as a major economic driver for our local region and a high-value investment for students, taxpayers, and the state of Florida. We will walk through the FY 2023–24 economic impact findings, showing how PSC generated $529.0 million in regional added income and supported 6,944 jobs which is approximately one out of every 43 jobs in the Pensacola Metropolitan Statistical Area. The discussion will break down the key components of that impact, including college operations, construction activity, student spending, and most importantly, the long-term workforce contributions of PSC alumni.

We will also present the investment analysis demonstrating the strong returns PSC provides to its stakeholders. Attendees will see how PSC students realize significant lifetime earnings gains (i.e. about $7,200 more annually with an associate degree) and receive $6.70 in value for every $1 invested in their education. The presentation will further examine taxpayer and societal benefits, including full recovery of public investment and $1.3 billion in total benefits to Florida’s economy. Overall, the session will connect these data points to PSC’s broader mission, showing how the college strengthens the workforce, supports regional industries, and delivers measurable economic value to our community.
