About:
Many of us are tired of hearing about artificial intelligence. Teaching is under strain with students utilizing AI tools to offload learning, and faculty are constantly bombarded with messages about the need to be “AI forward,” innovative, and responsive to a rapidly changing landscape. This workshop puts AI in context by addressing the most pressing questions around AI ethics, the changing workplace, and the role of authentic student learning. Practical recommendations for developing healthy AI policies for classes will be offered, as well as suggestions for aligning assessment strategies for AI use.
