Dr. Douma, PSC Dean of Grants and Federal Programs, received an Associate of Arts in General Education from Irvine Valley College in California, Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and Master of Science in Administration from the University of West Florida, and earned a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Florida. Since 2003, she has led the efforts to secure and manage over $153 million in grant funding to support college initiatives from an array of local, state, and federal agencies and private foundations. Deborah was named 2014 National Grant Professional of the Year by the Council for Resource Development in Washington, DC, and recognized in 2020 with a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award. She currently serves on the boards of the Florida Council for Resource Development, Florida College System Foundation, United Way of West Florida, and ACE (Art, Culture, & Entertainment) Pensacola.
