About:
Dr. Alexander Crist will facilitate a faculty and staff discussion on the essence and nature of education. Participants will consider what education means, whether it has core values or principles, and whether it is simply the acquisition of knowledge and skills or something a person can “get” or “receive.” Exploring these fundamental questions will help attendees think more deeply about their roles and the College’s mission. This largely conversational workshop expects faculty and staff to participate actively in the discussion.
