About:
This training will teach you how to use Panorama, the new accessibility checking tool within Canvas. Panorama automatically detects course content that isn’t accessible and flags those items so you can update them. It provides the tools, guidance, and feedback you need to make your materials fully accessible. Federal guidelines require all courses to meet accessibility standards by April 24, 2026. By improving accessibility, you’ll provide students with a wider range of tools to view course documents and create a more equitable and inclusive learning experience.

The first half of the session will demonstrate how to use Panorama to make different types of course content accessible, including Canvas pages, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDF files. The second half of the session will focus on providing hands-on support for your own courses and give you time to troubleshoot any questions, concerns, or issues.
So bring your course shells and your questions, and we’ll work together to make your course content more accessible for all learners.
