About:
This training will guide you in using the Panorama accessibility checker within Canvas to ensure your course content meets accessibility standards. Federal guidelines require that online course content complies with accessibility standards by April 24, 2026. By improving accessibility, you’ll enhance usability for all your students and promote a more equitable and inclusive learning experience.
In the first half of the training, we will walk through how Panorama works and demonstrate how to make different types of course content accessible, including Canvas pages, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and PDF files. The second half of the session will focus on hands on support, giving you time to work on accessibility improvements within your own courses with guidance available as needed.
