For girls ages 6+ who have attained most of the skills taught in advanced beginner classes are eligible for the intermediate class. The class emphasizes skill perfection and amplitude, performing combinations, and enhancing strength and balance. (12 hours)

Students taking this class must meet the following requirements in order to move up to the Advanced class or Level 3+ Team:

• Must be at least 8 years old
• Backwalkover
• Front limber or front walkover
• Roundoff to (slightly) spotted back handspring
• Front handspring over a panel mat or on floor
• Running or chasse into leap to straddle jump
• Kick to full handstand on beam
• Cartwheel to handstand ¼ turn dismount and roundoff
• Cartwheel and bridge kickover or backwalkover on high beam
• Glide, pullover, cast 5” off bar, back hip circle to sole circle or underswing dismount
• Spotted kip
• Squat on jump to high bar (spotted)
• Run, hurdle to half on or front handspring over resi/vault table
• 8 pullups and 10 leg lifts
• Front tuck on floor
• Back tuck on trampoline

Fall 2025 Session 2 (October 13 - December 13): No Class from November 24 - 29.

ATTIRE

• Gymnasts should be in comfortable, athletic attire. Leotards for girls are not necessary, but are acceptable. A t-shirt and shorts is sufficient.
• Hair should be neatly pulled back.
• No jewelry (other than studs in the ear) should be worn.
• Please avoid clothing with zippers and buttons.
• For gymnastics classes, bare feet is preferred. Socks are OK. Tights are not recommended. Socks are recommended for trampoline classes.

FOOD & DRINK

• No food or drink should be in brought into the gym other than water.
• No gum is allowed at any time.
