About:
All of us have encountered THAT person--the one who has a LOT to say and just about ALL of it we disagree with. These conversations, whether at work or at home, can be frustrating and can lead to losing important connections in our lives. This workshop will address one aspect of having a more productive dialogue even with the "boneheads": active listening. What is their story? Why is this issue so important to them they are willing to lose people in order to hold on to it? How does it describe their identity? How can we listen to understand, not contradict or persuade?
