About:
Explore how emotional intelligence (EQ) shapes communication, teamwork, workplace interactions, and professional effectiveness in higher education settings. Drawing from LEADX: The New Emotional Intelligence, participants will examine emotional awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management while practicing strategies for strengthening workplace effectiveness.
Faculty and staff will learn practical tools for managing difficult interactions, improving communication, and creating stronger workplace relationships.
This four-hour workshop will be delivered in two parts. Part 1, Self-Awareness and Self-Management: The Foundation of Emotional Intelligence, will focus on recognizing, understanding, and managing emotions, while Part 2, Applying Emotional Intelligence in Workplace Relationships, will explore social awareness and relationship management in professional settings.
