Students will need the following supplies:
- Paper Color Wheel - (Micheals, Hobby Lobby or Walmart)
- Canvas. They can be wrapped, traditional, boards or 140lb cold pressed Watercolor paper. *Note - Look for multi packs for the best price. Also get a few extras in case you mess up, multi packs are great. You will need 12 x 24 or larger.
- Mixed media multiple brush pack, various shapes, and sizes. Synthetic fibers are best for acrylic painting. But it is always best to have a few other fiber types in your toolbox. You will need sizes 12 and under. Be sure you select a pack that offers a variety of tip styles. For example, round tip, flat square tip, and Filbert tip, it looks like a flat tip but oval shape. Also get 1-18” Filbert long handle brush for large areas.
- Paint Pallet – I recommend getting a tray that has a storing lid for later use.
- Pallet knife to mix paint
- Rags or paper towels to clean up and damp brushes.
- Paint:4oz tubes or larger –
Essential colors: Note – The Liquitex Basics or Grumbacher Academy will do fine for these assignments.
